No scores required. Your universal glass is welcome. Tasting is optional; labels and producer notes can be a discovery too.
Make the note useful to you.
Record the bottle details first so you can find it again. Then use a few words for appearance, aroma, taste and feel. Leave a space blank when you are unsure. Your personal response belongs on the page too: what food would you try, and would you choose this wine again?
When comparing wines, make one sheet for each. Keeping the glass, serving temperature and food similar can make the comparison easier to describe. Label observations separately from information supplied by the producer.
No bottle required.
You can use the questions to compare labels or producer descriptions. Mark those entries “from the producer” rather than “my tasting”. The distinction lets you build a record of discoveries even when you are researching a place or planning a meal.
